Read: 1 Chronicles 25-27

Focus Verse: “Along with their relatives—all of them trained and skilled in music for the LORD—they numbered 288. Young and old alike, teachers as well as students, cast lots for their duties.” (1 Chronicles 25:7-8).

Devotion: This isn’t limited to the music positions of service, it’s the whole kingdom. Both young and old, serving the Lord, side by side. It didn’t matter if they were still a student, they could still serve God. I wonder, do our churches reflect this? I know there are older congregations, and there are churches where it seems everyone is under 40. But where and how can we learn and model this, both young and old serving side by side? The Kingdom of God, heck heaven won’t be a reflection of segmented churches who cater a certain demographic! The Kingdom of God is young and old side by side, ALL people worshiping God together!

Pray: LORD I pray to see a united body, one where all can worship together in love of you and each other. Amen!

Additional Scripture: “He made us, and we are His. We are His people, the sheep of His pasture.” (Psalm 100:3)
