Read: Joshua 19-21
Focus Verse: “Not one of all the LORD’s good promises to Israel failed; everyone was fulfilled.” (Jos 21:45).
Devotion: Finally Israel has settled into the land. Finally they have rest. All of this is credited to God. Israel trusted in the LORD, and not ONE of God’s promises failed! What promises does God make to us? Primarily in Christ, we’re promised eternal life. But God has promised to be with us. Search and pray, seek what God wants to promise to you. Maybe it’s his presence, his love, forgiveness, or something else. Seek God, see what he’s calling. Israel had to trust in the LORD, so we will too.
Pray: LORD just as Israel had rest, I pray that you give me rest. I need it BAD! God I’m so tired, I need your rest. Amen.
