Read: Judges 16-18

Focus Verse: “So he told her everything. ‘No razor has ever been used on my head,’ he said, ‘because I have been a Nazirite dedicated to God from my mother’s womb . If my head were shaved, my strength would leave me, and I would become as weak as any other man.” (Judges 16:17).

Devotion: So that’s exactly what they did. Sampson lost his strength. Yet, when he prayed God returned it to him one last time, so Sampson could do something mighty for the LORD. See, his strength never came form his hair, or his vow, it came from God. Even when his strength left him, he leaned on God in the end and it was restored. Our strength comes form God. There is nothing great or small that God can’t help us have strength to accomplish.

Pray: LORD, remember me, please God, strengthen me. Amen.

Additional Scripture: “Nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God.” (Rom 8:39)
